CMA Awards 2023 marks the 57th edition of the annual ceremony, which has been held since 1967. This makes it the longest running music award on TV. The awards program recognized achievements in country music through various categories such as best song and album, best vocalists, best duos, best groups, best new artists, best vents, and best videos.

Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning returned to the stage for the ceremony on a starry night. The audience laughed out loud at their performance.

Luke Bryan’s jokes were timely and Peyton Manning’s sarcastic comments made the audience laugh. From their opening monologue on, the two made everyone laugh. Manning, according to People, said at one point: “We’re back.” You know what this means? Bryan replied, “Yep. Travis and Taylor were not available.” This was in reference to the couple’s much-discussed outings, and their beautiful story.

Luke Bryan did not only host the show but also entertained the audience by singing. The singer-songwriter performed a medley of songs including That’s My King Of Night (also known as That’s My King Of Night), Country Girl, One Margarita among others, to the cheers and sing-alongs of the fans.

The War and Treaty Duet

Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Blount of The War and Treaty set the stage ablaze with their soulful vocals and amazing chemistry. The couple sang the ballad, That’s How Is Love Made, under red lighting. Their fans were taken aback.

The Jimmy Buffett Tribute

Jimmy Buffett’s death on September 1 was a sad day for his fans. Kenny Chesney and Mac McAnally joined Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band and Alan Jackson on the CMA Awards stage 2023 to pay tribute to the late musician’s musical career. They covered Margaritaville by the late singer and A Pirate Looks At Forty.

Lainey Wilson’s Iconic Performance and Impeccable Winnings

Wilson was the top nominee this year, as she received nine nominations for the CMA Awards. It is important to note that this is only her second year of being nominated. She was awarded Album of The Year and Entertainer Of The Year. Lainey Wilson also gave a fiery performance, singing Wildflowers and Wild Horses off her hit album Bell Bottom Country.
