BTS member Jeon Jungkook (or Jungkook) is making waves after the release of his first studio album, Golden. JK’s Golden Live concert in Seoul was held after the whirlwind promotion of his debut album. His fans, also known as ARMY (Army), flocked in large numbers to see the global icon. He also interacted during the concert with the audience, and won them with a cute shout-out for his mother.
Jungkook is not a Monday blues person. He won the award for Best K-pop Song for his chart-topping track Seven feat. Latto was also a winner at the Billboard Music Awards. His win further establishes him as the reigning global artist in the current pop-setting, as he continues to break records right, left, and center, with his new single, ‘Standing Next To You’.
During his concert, Jungkook shared many insights with his fans about his album Golden. In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon the BTS Maknae revealed that his mother dreamed of gold when she was pregnant. He also revealed that BTS leader RM aka Namjoon often addressed him by the Golden Maknae title, bringing it into common use for other members and ARMY.
During his Seoul concert Jungkook shocked his fans by revealing that his mom was in the crowd. While everyone was cheering, he turned to the fans and said: “Say that one more time.” My mother is here. ‘ Thank you, mother.’ My mom will love that. There’s the golden rain dream, and RM gave me the nickname ‘Golden Maknae’. “Every moment has been golden.”

Jungkook, meanwhile, sang Magic Shop at the concert. It sent ARMY members on a nostalgic tour as they await the Bangtan Boys reunion in 2025.

When a young fan shouted, “You are my life,” Jungkook responded with, “I am your life.” You are my life, and you cannot be excluded. All else can go away, but not the army. “I’m even more thankful.”

RM also attended the concert. He praised Jungkook and said, “Your parents must have been proud.” I gave him his nickname. The other members are all shooting today. I had no choice. He’s our youngest but I learn so many things from him.

Jungkook recently hinted that he was considering a possible world tour. However, he added that first he wanted to add new songs to his discography so as to enrich the experience. Meanwhile, in other updates, Jungkook’s ‘Standing Next to You’ has become the fastest solo song by a K-Pop soloist to exceed 100 million streams on Spotify.
