BLACKPINK fans – aka BLINKs – can now finally rejoice, as the members of this Kpop group have decided to continue under YG Entertainment. Jisoo’s South Korean girl group, which includes Rose, Jennie and Lisa, is one of the world’s most popular bands. They have all flourished as individuals as well as a group.

When the band’s contract ended with the company a few month ago, their fans were left in a state of anxiety. There were rumors about whether or not they would renew their contract, but fortunately for the fans things went in a positive way. According to a recent report from Munhwa Ilbo (South Korea), BLACKPINK has decided to renew its contract with YG Entertainment. The report also revealed two members had signed it, but the names were not released. Jisoo Rose Jennie and Lisa will continue to work together, but they will not be pursuing their exclusive contract with the firm.

A source from YG Entertainment, commenting on the news of BLACKPINK members’ contract extension, said: “There is no confirmation yet; discussions continue.” The group’s agreement ended in August after the BORN PINK World Tour concluded. The members of the band will be reunited for band activities, while continuing their individual careers including endorsements.

CNBC reported that the shares of YG Entertainment rose over 3% on 20th Nov after reports of BLACKPINK renewing their contract as a collective group.

Jisoo is on cloud nine, as Lisa, Rose and Jennie have won their first Billboard Music Awards ever for their BORN PINK Tour. They won the award for Best K-Pop Touring Act. The tour consisted of 66 concerts held in 34 cities across 22 countries. YG Entertainment reportedly stated that around 2,11 million people viewed the world tour.
