Strong Girl Nam Soon is a film starring Lee Yoo Mi, who was famous for Squid Game, as the titular character, alongside Kim Jung Eun and Kim Hae Sook. Ong Seong Woo, Byeon woo Seok, and Kim Jung Eun also star. The story follows Gang Nam Soon who, as a young child, disappeared in Mongolia. She has now returned to Korea to find her parents. She is entangled romantically in a drug-related case while a criminal pursues the heroin addict. Nam Soon, like Do Bong Soon has superhuman strength and can save people from the most terrifying situations.
A new installment, which will expand Strong Girl’s universe, is reportedly being developed. A JTBC representative confirmed the news and was quoted as saying: “We have plans to install another installment, but are currently concentrating our efforts on writing another project.” The second season was released seven years ago, so we don’t expect to see a third one anytime soon. However, fans are excited about the idea of expanding the franchise, which can be considered South Korea’s first female superhero series.
Meanwhile, Strong girl Nam Soon is currently at the top of the chart for its incredible viewership ratings. The JTBC drama that airs every Saturday and Sunday is also available on Netflix in some regions to reach a global audience.
