CSK’s Deepak Chahar was their most expensive purchase in the auction of 2022. The management bought him at the auction because the team could not retain him among the four players. He was bought for 14 crore. Chahar was injured a month prior to the IPL, which prevented him playing in the competition.

Kedar Jadhav signed his biggest-ever IPL contract when CSK hired him for 7.8 crores in the 2018 mega auction. CSK saw him as a middle-order batting with the ability of occasionally bowling off-spin. Kedar has scored 1208 runs with zero wickets during the IPL.
