The All India Tennis Association reappointed Rohitrajpal, India’s non-playing Davis Cup Captain, on Saturday.
Rohit Rajpal has been reappointed as India’s non playing captain in Davis Cup. The All India Tennis Association confirmed on Saturday that Rajpal will continue to serve in the position until December 2024.
According to PTIAnil Dhupar, secretary general of the AITA, said in a release that the decision had been made after careful consideration and evaluation.


Anil Dhupar stated, “We are pleased to extend Rohit’s tenure as captain of our esteemed Davis Cup Team.” Calling him a ‘valuable asset’ he futher added, “We have full faith in his capabilities and believe that he will continue to steer the team towards greater success in the upcoming Davis Cup campaign.”

India’s performance under Rohitrajpal
Rohit Rajpal has been appointed captain of the Indian team for 2019. He played his first role in the India vs Pakistan match that was played in Kazakhstan. India won 3-0.
Since then he has led India in six more matches. India lost to Croatia in 2020, and Finland in 2021. India was relegated into Group II after losing to Denmark in 2023.
In September, India and Morocco faced off in a Group II match at Lucknow. The hosts won the match 3-1. The next match in the Group I Play-off against Pakistan is scheduled for March.
