Notably, it is not the only time that Rahul has been seen inspecting a pitch after landing at a city to play a WC match.

While Team had a day off after beating Netherlands in Bengaluru on Sunday, Rahul Dravid and his support staff headed to Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, for a pitch check. Dravid, Vikram Rathour, and Paras Mhambrey, the batting coach, headed straight to Wankhede Stadium to inspect the pitch for IND vs NZ Cricket World Cup Semi-Final game scheduled to take place on 15 November.
Notably, Dravid and Co. have been doing this in the ongoing tournament. A similar sight was seen at Eden Gardens, Kolkata last week. Dravid drove directly to the stadium after landing to check the pitch for IND vs SA.
The 50-yearold was captured on camera talking to the pitch custodian while looking at the surface.
The semi-final between IND vs NZ is expected to be a high scoring affair
The Wankhede field is expected to be a batting paradise for the semi-final. The stadium has already hosted four World Cup games, and they have all been high-scoring matches.
