Neeraj YADAV, India’s top javelin thrower and shot putter, who won Asian Para Games Golds, tested positive for an illegal substance
In a shocking turn of events, Neeraj YADAV, a gold medalist at the Asian Para Games 2023, tested positive in a NADA test right before the event began for a prohibited substance. As per the report published in the Times of IndiaHe could soon lose the gold medals that he won at Asian Para Games.
Neeraj Yadav has won two gold medals for men’s javelins and discuses in the F55 division. The report suggests that Neeraj Yadav, a seasoned athlete, tested positive during a NADA test conducted at SAI Bengaluru. He will also be able to defend himself before NADA’s Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel.
It is interesting to note that Neeraj’s previous three tests were negative, but his fourth test was positive. Paralympic Committee of India officials confirmed the same. The report indicated that Neeraj was first diagnosed with neurological damage at age seven and then lost movement in his legs and arms.
