Luka Modric moving to Saudi Arabia? Agent opens up about a possible Real Madrid departure in the midst dwindling minutes with La Liga Giants.
Borja Couce is the agent of Luka Modric. He has commented about the Croatian’s possible transfer to Saudi Arabia. Couce has indicated that Modric would be open to a move to the Middle East from Real Madrid as the January transfer window approaches.
“Modric is currently thinking about Real Madrid, but the idea of him moving to the Saudi Pro League is possible if the offer is suitable,.” Couce said speaking Sportsklub.
This season, the Croatian midfielder has hardly made any appearances at Santiago Bernabeu. This season, the midfield of Los Blancos is strong, with Fede Valverde and Toni Kroos all contributing. Last season, the 39 year old was still a key player. Carlo Ancelotti has, however, taken away his starting spot this time.

As the January transfer window approaches, Couce has suggested that his client may be now finally open to a move to the Middle East. He further disclosed that Luka Modric has already had multiple Saudi Arabian bids.
“Saudi clubs? Modric was the subject of interest this summer with a view to signing him. The player is receiving several offers. One from a capital club and another from another club.” Couce added.
Modric was also open about declining lucrative Saudi Arabian offers this summer. It was only fair that he stayed in the Spanish capital in anticipation of a similar role. It appears that he’s now unhappy with not having the job.

The 38-year old has only started six games this season despite playing in 15 matches for Real Madrid. The midfielder has earlier even expressed dissatisfaction with his little playing time this season.
Modric’s departure in the middle season would be a surprise, especially since he could end his career with the La Liga trophy in Spain. It was his fierce competitive spirit that allowed him to remain at this level so long. Modric might however conclude that another six months as an substitute is too lengthy .
