With a win, the Indian Cricket team can now look forward to playing at the World Cup semifinals. Rohit Sharma’s goal is simple. The Men in Blue will be eager to see a rematch in 2023 of the IND vs. SL Asia Cup.
Mohammed Siraj’s masterclass smashed the Lankans. The Indian openers also reached the 50-run milestone in only 7 overs, ensuring a convincing victory for Men in Blue.
There is no doubt that the stakes are different in this upcoming match. India has a perfect World Cup record with 12 points. Sri Lanka is sixth with 4 points. Mohammed Siraj achieved his best ODI statistics when he scored a six by conceding only 21 run.
Siraj has done well in the World Cup by taking wickets regularly, but he hasn’t yet been able duplicate the fierceness of his bowling in the Asis Cup Finals.
The Indian batting line-up has shown to be very reliable. Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma have been the two mainstays in India’s batting line-up. They have both performed well at the World Cup.
