Earlier, Kolkata Police had arrested a person for selling match tickets worth INR 2,500 to SA at INR 11,00 each.
A fan filed a FIR on behalf of IND vs SA, Sunday, November 05, at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, against the Board of Control for Cricket in India, BookMyShow, and CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal), for promoting black-marketing of Cricket World Cup Tickets.

In his complaint, the fan alleges that BCCI and BookMyShow, who were initially meant to release tickets for public sale, have accumulated a large amount of tickets and sold them on the black market for personal gain.


The Kolkata Police has issued notices to BookMyShow and CAB, asking the officials to appear in court on Thursday, 2nd November, to cooperate with ongoing investigations.

BCCI and BookMyShow, however, have not yet released a formal statement on the alleged claim. Since the World Cup started, there have been a number of cases of tickets being bought and sold on the black market. Earlier, Kolkata Police had arrested a person for selling IND vs SA Match Tickets worth INR 2500 each at INR 11,000.
India has won six ODIs at the World Cup. The Men in Blue lead the table at the moment with 12 points, and will qualify for the semi final.
The Rohit Sharma and Co. team will face Sri Lanka next on Thursday, November 2, at Wankhede Stadium.
