Conor McGregor stated that he wasn’t done with Poirier after the trilogy fight and if the former interim champion had thought of fighting him again.
Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor is one of the fiercest UFC rivalries to have occurred in recent years. “The Diamond” won two of their three fights. Poirier recently talked about the possibility of facing the Irishman a second time and gave an explanation as to why he may consider having a third fight.
Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier squared up in the Octagon for the last time. McGregor fractured a leg in the opening round, but “The Diamond”, who won by TKO, still prevailed. McGregor shouted over the mic that it was still not over even after he had lost. Poirier now has his thoughts on facing “The Notorious”, again, in a new battle.
Conor McGregor Not Done With Dustin Poirier Yet: What’s Further
‘The Diamond’ was recently seen in attendance at UFC Vegas 82. ESPN’s Megan Olivi caught hold of him after the event. She asked if Poirier, the former interim champion, had considered fighting McGregor again after McGregor said he wasn’t finished with him following the trilogy fight. Poirier said that the only reason why he would consider fighting McGregor once again is to silence him for good.
“We’ll see. I probably would try to shut him up once and for all,” said Dustin Poirier. However, he was also sure of the fact that Conor McGregor would continue his trash talk and antics, even if he lost to ‘The Diamond’ for a third time. Poirier added, “But even if I slap his a** around again, he’s still gonna be chatting.”

Then Dustin Poirier questioned Megan Olivi about the legitimacy of the bout between Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor. It seemed as if he didn’t know. Although he doesn’t see any reason to anticipate the battle, the 34 year-old believes it could prove to be a significant one against his former opponent.
“Two for one against him. I don’t see any other reason. But it’d be a huge fight,”
Poirier went on. Let’s look at McGregor’s prospects in the meantime.
