Rohan Bopanna & Matthew Ebden bowed out from the semifinal in the ATP Finals 2023. They lost against Marcel Granollers & Horacio Zeballos
Rohan’s campaign in the ATP Finals of 2023 is over. The Indian veteran along with his partner Matthew Ebden were defeated in the semifinals of the year-end event on Saturday, November 18th. The third seeded pair lost 5-7 and 4-6 to Marcel Granollers, Horacio Zéballos.
Granollers & Zeballos are keeping their hopes alive for the World No.1 Ranking. The fifth seed won the Turin contest in just over an hour and twenty minutes.

Both pairs held serve until the seventh game in the first set. Bopanna & Ebden wasted a break point in the 8th game, bringing the score to 4-4.
Granollers-Zeballos then broke the Indo Australian pair’s service and won the first game. In the second game, Ebden’s double faults were crucial in helping Gramollers and Zeballos gain a break of 2-1.
The team won the match in straight sets and maintained their lead to reach the final.
“We are very pleased. We are delighted to be in the Finals this time. It is our third Semi-Final here at the Championships. We will play our best tennis and try to have fun during the match,” said Granollers following the semifinal. If they win, the Spanish-Argentine pair would end the year at No.1 if it wins the title.
