Morne Morkel is a 39-year-old South African cricketer who played 86 tests, taking 306 wickets. In ODIs, he took 188 wickets.

A PCB press release stated that former South Africa bowler Morne Morkel has resigned as the bowling coaches of the Pakistan cricket squad. The lanky speedster had signed a six-month deal with Pakistan in June 2023. His first assignment was an away Test against Sri Lanka.

PCB has yet to announce his replacement, but they have assured that a bowling trainer will be hired soon. Pakistan’s cricket team has a three match away Test series with Australia that starts on December 14th.

Umar Gul will likely take over after the World Cup disaster in India where Pakistan looked out of place and their bowling was also toothless. As per a report in Cricket PakistanA training camp for the Pakistani cricket team will likely begin on November 20 under the guidance Umar Gul.
