Virat Kohli will have the chance to make history on November 15th, after a World Cup in which he has been in outstanding form.

Virat Kohli, who is aiming to break a few records, will be the focus of all eyes as India prepares to face New Zealand in IND vs NZ Cricket World Cup semifinal on Wednesday November 15.

India has been undefeated in the ODI World Cup, winning all nine games they have played. A victory over New Zealand will take the Men in Blue to the final.

Here are the three records Virat Kohli can break in the IND vs NZ semifinal:

1. Most ODI centuries of all time

Virat Kohli was unable to reach his 50th ODI hundred in the IND vs NED clash on Sunday. The 35-year old will have a second chance to break Sachin’s record for most ODI centuries.

2. Most runs scored by a single edition of ODI World Cup

Virat Kohli currently leads the ongling World Cup in terms of run-scoring. The star batsman has scored 594 runs in nine games and is on track to surpass “God of Cricket”, Sachin Tendulkar, as the highest-scoring player in tournament history.

Tendulkar accumulated 673 runs at the 2003 World Cup. Kohli needs just 80 runs to pass the Master Blaster, and set a record. However, South African opener Quinton Kock (591), New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra (655), and Indian skipper Rohit Sarma (503) are all in the race to break this record.

3. Most centuries in winning cause

Virat Kohli’s 50th century in the IND vs NZ Semi-Final will also give him a chance of surpassing Australian legend Ricky Ponting as the most International centuries won in winning causes.

The 35-yearold is currently tied to the former Australian captain on 55 tons. However, he will be able to surpass Ponting if he scores a match winning century at Wankhede Stadium.
